EASB English Amateur Snooker Championship – 100th Anniversary @TheEASB

This season is the 100th Anniversary of the EASB English Amateur Snooker Championship.  First held in 1916, it is the most prestigious and longest running amateur snooker championship in the world with a list of previous winners that reads like a who’s who of snooker history.

Five winners of the tournament later went on to become world champions including John Pulman, Ray Reardon, John Spencer, Terry Griffiths and Stuart Bingham.  A further three losing finalists, Joe Johnson, John Parrott and Ronnie O’Sullivan, would all also go on to become future World Champions.
